Warning: this topic is not for little ears, moms. Pop in those earbuds before you start listening!
Until our society makes the internet safe for kids, parents must be proactive in teaching what pornography is, why it’s dangerous and exactly how to reject it. Today Karen and Sunny talk with Kristen Jenson, author of Good Pictures, Bad Pictures about porn-proofing our kids. We discuss age-appropriate definitions of pornography, how to talk about it with our kids, and how to help our kids form a plan for what to do when they see it.

Question 1: Kristen, we are really grateful that you are here with us today, will you tell our listening moms a little bit about Protect Young Minds and how it came about that you have started this ministry?
Question 2: I’m sure most of the moms listening did not have a pornography talk with their parents, is that why it seems so intimidating to talk about? Why are we reluctant to “go there” with our kids?
Question 3: What do moms need to know about the world of pornography today? Where are our kids likely to encounter it?
Question 4: What age do you recommend beginning the conversation? Is this something only for boys or do we need to talk to our girls about pornography as well?
Question 5: In your book, you share a technique we can teach our kids to use after they’ve seen porn. Can you talk about that?
Question 6: What if we are coming to this conversation after the fact? We’ve found out that our child either sought something out or that they were shown pornography by a friend - what does a parent do?
Question 7: Can you tell our moms where they can find Good Pictures, Bad Pictures and also where they can connect with your ministry online?
