Beth McCord (@YourEnneagramCoach) joins Karen and Sunny today to dive into the popular personality typing system, the Enneagram. We loved hearing Beth’s perspective on what makes the Enneagram such an effective tool for understanding ourselves and learning how we can use that knowledge to empower our parenting. Be sure to check out the show notes for links to the many resources Beth shares!

Free Assessment as well as 9 Types Overview and Mistyping Guide from Your Enneagram Coach
Question 1: We use a personality test based on the four temperaments A LOT at Birds on a Wire when we talk about ourselves, our spouses, and our children. So we are pretty well-versed in talking about how our personality impacts the way we interact with the world, but how is the Enneagram different from a personality test like the colors test or a DISC assessment? And why are they both useful?
Question 2: Can you give us an overview of Enneagram for those who are brand new to this concept? What is the Enneagram? There’s so much to learn and so much “lingo” with it, where do we start in understanding the Enneagram?
Question 3: Where do we start if we want to learn which number we identify with most?
Question 4: Once moms read take an assessment and start learning more the Enneagram, once we feel like we know our number, how do we use this self-knowledge in our day-to-day parenting?
